The Hudson Woods Tree House is a perfect example of a company utilizing the eco-friendly, long lasting products we distribute at Eco Supply, in a creative and fun way. This new take on an old concept combines sound modern design, with a timeless nostalgic aesthetic.
The tree house is divided into three levels, each encouraging a separate activity to connect children with outdoor play. The bottom two levels are open air tiers that offer space for climbing, while the third level is an enclosed structure constructed out of Richlite’s exterior cladding. While aiming to optimize a carefree, playful environment, Hudson Woods’ top priority is sound structure and safety. For that reason they chose Richlite as the exterior cladding for their tree house.
Both durable, and environmentally friendly, Richlite is the perfect material for companies like Hudson Woods, who want to combine durability and sustainability. Richlite is Greenguard certified for children and schools, meaning it contains no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) making it ideal for the Hudson Woods Tree House.
Not only is Richlite safe for children, it is safe for the environment. The Richlite factory utilizes a “Waste to Energy” system that contain no off gassing and employs 100% recycled material in its production. The “Waste to Energy” system takes the exhaust from its 600°F process and cycles it back through the system to fuel production and destroy harmful waste. Not only does this process prevent volatile waste from being released into the atmosphere, it recycles the waste in such a way as to eliminate the need for addition energy consumption.
The Hudson Woods Tree House thus combines the rustic appeal of age old play spaces, with new technologies that allow for a long lasting structure made of materials that leave little impact on the planet. It only seems appropriate that a product made with such attention to carbon impact and sustainability would find its applicable context within the natural space that it aims to protect.
