Beautiful Cork Home Decor by Ed Kiernan

One of our best customers, Ed Kiernan, makes gorgeous home decor from our Suberra high-density cork products. Through his day job, Ed became familiar with Suberra and decided to purchase some to work with in his own workshop, Double Paw Creations.

Ed shared that the creative process was surprisingly fluid and intuitive. The ease of working with the cork allowed him to focus on his design vision without being hindered by technical challenges. As a result, he was able to craft a series of stunning cork bowls, vases, and other decorative items that highlight the natural beauty of the material.

"After gluing the blocks together, I put them on the lathe and started turning. Surprisingly, it was incredibly easy to unleash my creativity. The material was remarkably easy to work with. It glued up strong, cut like butter on the lathe, and required minimal effort to sand smooth.
