Designed by renown architect David Salmela, The Bagley Nature Area is a LEED Platinum outdoor
teaching laboratory that opened in 2010 at the University of Minnesota Duluth. A notable contribution
to those LEED points came from the use of Richlite, both in the building's interior and exterior. The
picture shown above features Midnight Iron Richlite RainShadow exterior cladding that is composed
of FSC Certified and post consumer recycled waste and manufactured with Richlite's Waste-to-
Energy technology. The rainscreen panels protect the building's interior from moisture and increase
it's R-value by providing excellent insulation.
